Built on Hopes, Dreams, and a Concerning Amount of Pepsi Max

The Backstory

We wanted to get into the games industry but we've been victims to the barriers, the gatekeeping, the ghosting, the no-experience loops. So, Team MiHa was born out of a simple question: "Why not just do it ourselves?"

The Secret

The secret ingredient? Volunteers. We're all volunteering at Team MiHa, including the founders! We know how hard it is to get that first portfolio piece, so we decided to build a studio where we provide the roadmap and our team helps us pave the way. It’s a group effort fuelled by a love for the craft, dedication and a myriad of skills.

The Plan

  • The 6-Month Cycle

We aim to take our games from concept to launch in 6 months or less. Why? Because we want you to have solid portfolio pieces and write "shipped a game" on your CV so that you can get your foot in the industry in the shortest time possible. We believe 6 months is enough time to create a micro indie game while avoiding scope creep, and still allows for plenty of downtime so no one ever feels overworked.

  • Wellbeing > Gamedev

We’ve designed our workflow to be sustainable and professional, but most importantly; compassionate. We only suggest 5 hours of contribution per week. Through weekly check-ins, we ensure everyone is managing their workload effectively. We aren't here to burn you out, we’re here to help you build your career in a space that respects your time and mental health.

  • The Trade

Mitch & Haze provide the narrative foundation and core game design, plus the marketing to ensure our games are seen, wishlisted and played by many. The artists and developers provide the skills needed to create and bring the game to life. By the end of the 6 month cycle, we all walk away with a published game, experience to show in our portfolios and a foot in the industry door.
